Today we rolled out a new set of updates that ensure more accurate round data, improved Discord integration, and a small enhancement to the website.
⏱️ Round Duration Bug Fixed
A bug during gameserver startup caused the first playround to be registered with a UTC timestamp.
Consequences of this bug:
- Round durations appeared to last over 2 hours, while they usually last between 4 and 10 minutes.
- Statistics for the first rounds were therefore inaccurate.
This issue has now been fixed, and round durations are correctly recorded from the moment a server starts.
🔗 New Internal API Endpoint
We have added a new internal API endpoint with token authorization to the logmachine. This allows external systems to communicate directly with Discord channels.
Example usage:
- Gameservers now automatically report their update status to their corresponding Discord channels.
- Community members can stay up-to-date with server status in real time.
This feature makes it easier to follow important server information directly in Discord.
🌐 Website News Preview
Finally, the website has received a small update: the 5 most recent news articles are now briefly displayed on the homepage.
This helps visitors quickly stay informed about the latest updates and developments in the community.
