API Expansion: More Data at Your Fingertips
We’ve expanded our API with new endpoints that provide:
- Live server statistics
- Active in-game player data
- Player stats with only a 60-second delay
This brings us one step closer to offering near real-time insights into what’s happening in-game.
The Challenge: Performance at Scale
Right now, our system parses raw data whenever an HTTP request comes in. While this works, it introduces noticeable delays on page load—something we’re not satisfied with. A community platform should feel fast and responsive, no matter how large the dataset grows.
The Solution: Pre-Parsing & Round Tracking
To tackle this, we’re exploring two key improvements:
- Pre-parsing on the webserver:
Instead of crunching numbers only when requested, we’ll process and cache data ahead of time. This will drastically reduce load times.
- Round-based tracking:
By breaking down data collection on a per-round basis, we’ll be able to provide sharper insights (like round-specific performance) while also keeping the backend lean and efficient.
